Most of the designers responded to this economic recession by looking back, not looking forward. We have seen on the runways & catwalks the retro. Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 RTW show was mostly 80’s inspired- it's like I feel singing the uptown girl imagining myself wearing an overblown cocktail dress.Other luxury designer clothing brands like Bottega Veneta Fall 2009 is so classically simple but sexy, sultry and erotic with corseting and underwires that drew attention to the breasts in a sophisticated and fashionable way. Thomas Maier succeded to block out the doldrums of the recession by creating a chic and attractive designer clothes. You wouldn't feel it's Autumn because the milieu of his collections seemed so Spring!
Givenchy fall collection by Riccardo Tisci- pays homage to the Middle East with “sarouel-influenced pants, hoods, veiled and draped silhouettes, and gold embroidery”, really chic & fantastic. He's so creative by combining the purpose of jewelry- that can act as a ring, bracelet, necklace and earrings- this is totally amazing. Lately Rihanna have seen rocks an earring-necklace combo.

Dolce&Gabbana Fall/Winter 2009/2010 Ad Campaign Men's & Women's Collection

The story of this Ads inspired from the Italian film director Luchino Visconti's pugilist flick "Rocco e I Suoi Fratelli" translated as "Rocco and his Brothers. Of course with Madonna's fling/boyfriend Jesus Luz, together with the mens 'gay mafia' theme galore = David Gandy, Noah Mills, Adam Senn, Julienne Quevenne, and Eva Herzigova. This Ads was shot by Steven Klein at Gleason’s Gym in Brooklyn. It shows entirely the fascinating world of theatre, from the theatrical, breathtaking & spectacular costumes to the elegant gowns worn by the ladies up to the elements of the theatre structure itself and retraces the most significant operas.

Like any advertising campaigns such as Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, and many others Dolce & Gabbana also one of those who delivered one of the most captivating, charismatic, & inviting advertising campaigns of the Fall/Winter 2009/2010. D&G knows how to show the dramatic effect of the ADS. It is good that D&G give an importance on both womenwear and menswear.
